Website maintenance plans

From $60 a month, your website stays updated, secure and looked after

A website is not a purchase, it is equipment. Frameworks age, plugins break, images creep in oversized, certificates expire, and Google keeps changing what it measures. A maintenance plan is the difference between a site that stays an asset for years and one that quietly becomes next year’s emergency redesign.

What every plan covers

Updates

Framework, dependency and CMS updates applied on staging first, then released to production.

Backups

Automated off-site backups of files and database, with restores we test rather than assume.

Security

Vulnerability patching, security headers, form hardening and spam control on a schedule.

Monitoring

Uptime, SSL, broken links and error tracking, with alerts reaching us before they reach you.

Performance

Core Web Vitals measured against an agreed budget, with regressions fixed as part of the plan.

Reporting

Traffic, rankings, leads and site health in plain English, on a single page you can read in a minute.

Support

A named contact and a guaranteed response time for anything urgent, without an hourly meter running.

Website maintenance plans

Why a maintained website earns more than an unmaintained one

Maintenance is not insurance against disaster. It is the reason the three things that make a website profitable - rankings, security and conversions - do not quietly erode over eighteen months.

01Rankings

Google re-grades your site continuously, not once

Search rankings are not a trophy you win at launch. Google measures load speed, mobile responsiveness, layout stability, HTTPS, broken links and freshness on every crawl - and your competitors keep publishing. An unmaintained site slides in all six directions at once: images get uploaded oversized, a plugin adds render-blocking JavaScript, outbound links rot, and the content stops answering questions people are actually searching now.

  • Core Web Vitals measured monthly against the budget agreed at launch, with regressions fixed inside the plan
  • Broken links, redirect chains and crawl errors cleared before they cost you crawl budget
  • New sections and seasonal SEO updates on the Premium and Online Store plans, so the site keeps gaining surface area
  • Google Business Profile kept active with posts, photos, Q&A and a working review flow

02Security

Every month unpatched is a month of accumulated exposure

Websites are not attacked because they are important; they are attacked because they are reachable and out of date. Automated scanners find known vulnerabilities in old dependencies within hours of disclosure. The damage is rarely dramatic vandalism - it is injected spam links that poison your search visibility, a card skimmer on a checkout, or a malware flag in Chrome that stops every visitor at the door.

  • Framework, CMS and dependency patches applied on a schedule, on staging first, so nothing breaks in production
  • Security headers, HTTPS configuration, form hardening, bot and spam control reviewed rather than assumed
  • Off-site backups with restores we actually test - an untested backup is a guess, not a recovery plan
  • Malware and blocklist monitoring, so a Google Safe Browsing flag never gets discovered by a customer first

03Conversions

The failures that cost you leads never show an error message

The most expensive website faults are silent. A contact form that stopped delivering because a DNS record changed. A quote form that fails validation on the current version of iOS. A booking widget broken by a third-party update. A phone number that is no longer tappable. Nobody complains, because the people affected simply leave - so the only way to catch it is to test on a schedule and watch the numbers.

  • Every form submitted and verified end-to-end each month, including deliverability and spam-folder placement
  • Checkout, booking and portal flows tested after browser and dependency updates
  • Analytics and conversion tracking verified, so the numbers you make decisions on are real
  • Conversion iteration on key pages: headline, offer, proof and form friction, measured rather than guessed

What happens to a website nobody maintains

Not a crash. A slide. This is the shape it usually takes.

Months 1-3

Nothing visible. Dependencies fall a few versions behind and the first unpatched vulnerabilities are published.

Months 4-8

Page weight creeps up as content is added without optimization. Mobile load time slips past three seconds. A form starts failing on one browser.

Months 9-18

Core Web Vitals fail in Search Console. Rankings soften and competitors who kept publishing move above you. Lead volume drops without an obvious cause.

Month 18+

The site needs a rebuild rather than a fix, because the platform is too far behind to update safely. This is the emergency redesign a maintenance plan exists to prevent.

How a plan starts

Four steps, and only the last one is recurring.

01

Technical review

Free, and honest: we check whether the current stack can be maintained safely and tell you what shape it is in.

02

Plan recommendation

We recommend the plan the site actually needs - often the smaller one - and put the monthly fee in writing.

03

Onboarding month

Baseline measurements, backups configured and restored once, monitors installed, performance budget agreed, quick wins fixed.

04

Steady state

Updates on schedule, your included hours spent where you ask, and a one-page report you can read in a minute.

What a plan is not

Being clear about the edges is part of the offer.

  • A full redesign. Substantial rebuilds are quoted separately as a project.
  • Unlimited hours. Included hours are stated per plan; extra work is quoted before it starts.
  • Paid advertising management. We will make the landing pages convert, but we do not run the ad accounts.
  • Third-party license and hosting costs. Billed at cost, directly to you, so the accounts stay in your name.

Maintenance questions

Do I have to be a redesign client?

No. We take on maintenance for sites we did not build, after a short technical review to confirm we can support the stack safely.

What if I need more hours in a busy month?

Extra hours are billed at an agreed rate, quoted before the work starts. Most months, the included hours are more than enough.

Is hosting included?

Hosting is billed at cost directly to you, so you own the account. We configure it, monitor it and manage deploys as part of the plan.

Can I cancel?

Any time, with 30 days notice. There is no annual contract and no cancellation fee. You keep your code, content and accounts.

Let us build something better

Send us your website. We will tell you exactly what is holding it back - in writing, within 48 hours, at no cost and with no sales sequence.

  • No sales sequence. One reply from a real person.
  • Fixed-fee quote in writing before any work starts.
  • Your details are used to answer your request and nothing else.
